I am new to PHP. I tried several times to install PHP4.0 into my RedHat
Linux which already has mysql and apache1.3 installed. I only got this
message when I tried to run the web server:

Starting httpd: Syntax error on line 872 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf:
Cannot load /etc/httpd/modules/libphp4.so into server:
/etc/httpd/modules/libphp4.so: undefined symbol:
php_XML_SetUnparsedEntityDeclHandler
[FAILED]

configure commands are as follows:
----------------------------
./configure --prefix=/usr/local/php4 --with-config-file-path=/etc/httpd
--with-mysql=/usr2/mysql3 --with-apxs=/usr/sbin/apxs
--enable-track-vars--enable-magic-quotes --enable-debug

I have aslo change some lines "LoadModule php4_module modules/libphp4.so".
There is an old PHP3.0 installed before I tried to install php4.0. And I
failed to remove it using : shell> rpm -e php.
Could anyone help me out with this problem? Thank you very much for your
