Dear all, My problem of not getting out values out of form variables is solved..
2 things had to be done: 1) Install the windows service pack 1 because there are some bugs in Windows xp which hampers the php code... 2) The register globals should be on in the php.ini...which I had done without installing the service pack...before Thanks to everyone for their support.
