Hi list,
I am using PHP version 4.1.2 with
apache/1.3.23 on my mandrake box.
Recently i installed mysql4.0 trying to grab data
from mysql through php, but i just can't get php to connect mysql db. When i
suspect php4.1.2 is old enough, i tried to download the newest php4.3.3 version.
I just follow the instruction and did the following
to install the php, but after i restart the httpd, issue the phpinfo()
page, i still getting the php4.1.2, seems like it never update my old php.
Is there anything i can do now to make sure the
actual php4.3.3 installed ? and what seems to be the problem when i can't
connect mysql and the result i get is a totally blank page?
i did this to install php
? ,/configure
? make
? make install
and this to restart httpd
? /etc/rc.d/init.d/httpd restart
Please advice ~ urgent ~ thanks
!
