I am trying to install PHP version 4.3.3 on Solaris 2.9 with Apache 1.3.
I am running configure with the following options: ./configure --with-apxs=/usr/apache/bin/apxs --enable-shared
and I get to the point in the configure script where the following line is echoed: ./build/shtool echo -n -e %B
and at this point the script hangs.
If I list processes at this point, the top process is: tr x- x_ which is running at 78% CPU.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
