I'm not sure if this is currently the case, but quite a few times in the
past a re-configure of an already installed PHP would ignore updating
the phpinfo function. So, while the new functions I compiled in worked,
they didn't show up in a call to phpinfo.

Do the OpenSSL and the FTP functions infact work?
