i have a questionabout libiodbc and imap. When looking at the output of phpinfo() - I see the configure command used to set up my install of php. php came pre-installed on my dedicated server.
here are the two relevant options used:
'--with-iodbc=/usr/home/builder/psa_601_std/psa/lib/dist'
'--with-imap=/usr/home/builder/psa_601_std/psa/lib/dist'
I do not have the above directories. I am using a mysql database and i have postgre installed but I do not use it. I am also running plesk off of a freebsd machine (4.9-stable). I have a port of libiodbc but as far as I can tell it is not installed. I am pretty sure I am using courier-imap but I do know I am using an imap service. As you can probably tell, I am new to all of this. Anyway, my question is - what would happen if I didn't specify those options? Would the build fail? Would certain aspects of php stop working? Will php locate the proper directories?
