I'm trying to install PHP 4 on a Win98 machine with the Personal Web Server (PWS) for a testing server, but it's not working.
First I installed the PWS, and it's running fine, then I installed MySQL, and it seems to be running fine, also, and last I installed PHP 4. First I tried the Windows installer package, but whenever I tried to view a PHP document in my browser, it gave me an HTTP 400 - Bad Request error. I know the address to the document is correct, because I had directory browsing turned on, browsed to that file, and clicked on it. I thought perhaps the installer package just didn't work correctly, so I downloaded the manual installation package and went through the steps to install PHP manually. Still no luck, although it gives me a different error; now it just gives me an HTTP 404 - Page not Found error. Can anyone help me know how to proceed from here to get it installed correctly? -- Charlie Fiskeaux II
