If you are on Linux, do an updatedb and then locate libphp5.so (or a find / -name libphp5.so). The module is created when you make and install, but might not be in your apache modules directory (depending what your ./configure directives where). I did go to the modules directory of HTTP apache and it was really missing there. Then I went to my PHP source directory and couldn’t find it either.   Is this a bug?
