Chris, Is there a particular reason you are compiling from source? If you are new to PHP and are strictly using it for simple things such as prefabricated scripts (like phpMyAdmin), you may instead want to consider MacPorts. That'll ensure that everything is handled with dependencies, architecture requirements, etc. http://google.com/search?q=how+to+install+php+and+mysql+with+macports I am not 100% certain, but you *may* be able to `port install` phpMyAdmin itself and have it handle the installation of all dependencies. For that, though, I'll defer to the Mac folks out there. In any case, it may very well save you a *lot* of time and headaches for your first time out. ;-P -- </Daniel P.
