if you only want to pay for what you use, then you should definitely
check into www.nearlyfreespeech.net . they charge $1 per gig of
transfer that you use, and $0.01 per meg per month of storage. you
could probably give 'em $10 and be good for the whole year.
the customer service is fast and informative and they are always
improving their hardware and software. in the support forums there is
a sticky thread detailing all their future plans and the timetable
they are on.
i don't know everything they support, but i know you can use php and
mysql with them. the only thing they don't seem to have is email
addresses for your domain, but they do forward email sent to your
domain to the address of your choice.
