Hi Keerthi,

I'm no expert with this, but I can suggest some possibilities for you.

Firstly, it depends how the site will process the transactions.
1) Will you need online card processing?
2) Will the client process orders offline, for example through their
existing mailorder system?

For (1) in the UK (i presume it's similar in other countries) the
client will need an "Internet Merchant Account" with their Bank and an
account with a "Payment Gateway" then you can pass the order details
(taken securely online) to the payment gateway, such as SecPay.
SecPay process the details & debit the account, they then return a code
to your site that lets you know if the transaction was OK.

For (2) you will need to provide the client with a facility to download
orders in someway. This may be a CSV file, XML file or a printout of
the order details that they can process manually.

You have to think carefully about how you get the info to the client.
Credit card info is sensitive info & so it must be held securely & your
download / printout system must also be secure.
Also it is illegal to store CVV2 numbers (the 3 digit verification
number on the back of most cards) - so you must delete these numbers
after they are used to verify the order.

hope this helps,
Riquez
