Actually, I'm using a third-party RSS parser (lastRSS,
http://lastrss.webdot.cz/) but for some reason, it doesn't handle the
<enclosure> tag, even though it purports to do so. The author uses
REGEXs similar to the one I'm goofing around with to parse the XML. 

But, I get your point. I'll investigate some different classes.
