I have no control of the site setup or php etc. There is one site at the real root directory as www.site.com and 5 totally independant sub-domains accessed by www.site1.com to www.site5.com They are just in different folders, but give the illusion that it's a big company, and each site has links to the other. Not my site, you understand. I just want to put a common directory in the real root, and access from the different sub-domains. Just thought I'd save myself a great deal of editing, as there are so many common modules. They just use a php template.
