You may want to check the PHP configuration statements.  Create a PHP script
with a single function call:  phpinfo();  and run it on both servers.  See if
there are differences.  In particular, see if the register_globals setting is
the same on both.  There are also settings which affect how PHP works with
sessions and you should see if both are the same.

Based on your mention of PHP Easy, I guess you are running Windows at home. 
What OS is the hosting company using?
