This will do it,

<html>
<head>
<body>
<?php
if(!isset($_GET['width']) || !isset($_GET['height']) )
{
echo "<script>
document.location='?width='+screen.width+'&height='+screen.height
;</script>";
exit;
}
echo "Width=".$_GET['width'].", Height=".$_GET['height'];
?>

</body>
</html>

...but unless you are collecting data on the average screen size of your
visitors, what is the point?

 Ian
