So, even after Googling "mod_rewrite" and viewing a few different
articles on it, I'm no closer to understanding exactly how to do what I
proposed in my previous reply, which is to take

http://www.domain.com/profiles.php?user=foo

appear as

http://www.domain.com/profiles/user/

Could we get a quick tutorial, please? :-)
