Creat a empty Database.. and open the wp-config-sample.php in the
wordpress folder then put the values of ur DB name Userid/Passwd and Serevre
name... and rename the file to wp-config.php
Now try to install...i hope it will run now...

I want to install wordpress
I have installed IIS, PHP and Mysql
I have configured php with IIS.
When I run http://localhost/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php , I get the message
Your PHP installation appears to be missing the MySQL which is required for
WordPress
So how to use MySql? Is it to be configured with IIS or PHP?
Operating system is Windows XP Pro.
