Free hosting with Cpanel. I believe they will place ads your site, but
I have not seen any at this time. It has bee great for a testing server
for PHP & MySQL apps. I'm guessing you could host a java applet there
as well.

There are places that are cheaper and definately places that are more
reliable. I personally have my own stuff with GoDaddy. I have placed
many clients there as well. I have moved LOTs of clients from Yahoo.
DotFive used to be fairly good but they had some troubles so I havent
ever gone back.
