That's a good point. Someone a while back suggested that I check to
make sure that $_POST is an array before continuing, so I've always
done it that way...

Again, an excellent point. I do happen to know that in my particular
situation, magic_quotes_gpc is set to "off" so it's habitual for me to
throw in add/strip slashes on text inputs.
