A BSc should be a University degree, and lecturing at a University I would not like to see any student pass when not having a clue what he/she is talking about. A university is NOT a place where you obtain a diploma by paying x years of tuition fees (at least coming from a country where there are no private universities it tends to be like that), but a place where you might earn it passing exams and such. To generalise further: students who try to pass without having a clue what they are studying or talking about are a bl**dy shame and should not be allowed to get a diploma, IMHO.
