Well gang, after about 3-1/2 years of moderating this group, I'm about ready to step down. It's become more of a chore or obligation that I have to attend to more than something I *want* to do. So it's time for me to move on.
But, I do not want to leave you all in limbo. So, if you have any interest in moderating this group, let me know and I'll consider your qualifications. The qualifications I'm looking for are simple: you must be fair, even-handed, and have been a member of this list for at least two to three years. Very simple. Duties are: moderating incoming newbie messages, deleting the spam (and the spammers), and keeping discussions on-topic. The other option is for me to simply allow anyone and everyone in, no post moderation. That will allow new registrants the ability to sign up and post immediately, which is a GOOD thing. The downside of that is that I delete roughly 10-20 hit-and-run headhunter posts, spam messages, and other crap on a weekly basis that you guys never see. Turning off moderation would allow all that to come through. So -- again, if you're interested in moderating, you match the qualifications, etc., give me a shout and let's talk. Thanks, -Bob
