Greetings all,
I'm trying to do basic authentication using IIS 6.0 with PHP as an ISAPI
module. I can get the dialog to pop up no problem, but when I enter a
name/password, it doesn't come back in the header. After checking the
documentation, I found that the $PHP_AUTH_USER and $PHP_AUTH_PW are not
available in IIS 6.0 and that I had to use the HTTP_AUTHORIZATION variable like
so:
list($user, $pw) = explode(':',
base64_decode(substr($_SERVER['HTTP_AUTHORIZATION'], 6)));
This still did not work. So a little longer search found this site
http://pessoal.org/blog/?p=32 that found that in IIS 6.0, the
HTTP_AUTHORIZATION would be in the ALL_HTTP variable.
So I made that change. I'm still not getting anything back. I enter username
and password and the HTTP_AUTHORIZATION doesn't appear anywhere in the ALL_HTTP
variable.
I'm stuck. Has anybody here done that? Any help or pointers is appreciated.
Thanks!
-D. Israel

Can you name the movie this was in:
Stay in school and use your brain. Be a doctor, be a lawyer, carry a leather
briefcase. Forget about sports as a profession. Sports make ya grunt and smell.
See, be a thinker, not a stinker.
