I made a change to my scripts and within 30 minutes my hosting company disabled my script running ability. They said my scripts were overtaxing their server (CPU and or RAM). It may have been the amount of users but I suspect it was the change to the scripts since I had heavy usage before but had not experienced the problem. The error log they forwarded to me contained some references to a premature ending in a script.
I would like to add the planned change to my scripts (adding a command to invoke Skype) but do not want to test live on my hosting company's site. Is there a method of testing scripts before uploading them to a server? Andy
