Hi
What system you running your server. is it like Oscommerce or something else. let me know then I give you solution Thanks, Muthukumar Selvarasu, Project Manager (Web Development), Webmasters Ltd. _____ From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Mike Johnston Sent: Sunday, December 16, 2007 4:13 AM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [php-list] Protecting visitors information I don't know the correct solution, but base64 is probably not it. Anyone with a little programming knowledge can easily decode this information. You need to consider protecting the information: * On the server * In transmission * On the user's computer The answers depend on how sensitive the information is. There is not perfect answer. There are problems with all of the solutions I have heard of. You can start by encrypting the data on the server and using HTTPS. Storing anything (including cookies) on the user's computer will make it possible for unintended persons to access the data. Respectfully Mike Johnston. Also, I'm thinking on adding a firewall to the site for extra protection. Could someone point me in the right direction?
