I am not at all clear what you are trying to do here. 1) Is it just that you want the server to return the previous page? The server knows the name of the previous page, it's in $_SERVER["HTTP_REFERER"] 2) Do you want the user to go back to a page which was opened sometime previously? You could set a SESSION which would contain the name of the first page, and look up the session variable on any other page. 3) Have you now opened two pages, and want to update the first? You will need to use Ajax looping on the first page, to recognise when something has changed on the server. Give us an example, use some page names to make it clear what you mean. -- Pete Clark Advertise your events in Spain - local and free http://hotcosta.com/events.php
