[PHP-QA] Newbie can't find 'configure'

Looking for the Linux build process. Didn't see it in the README.* 
files, and http://www.php.net/manual/en/install.unix.php mentions using 
"configure" which does not seem to be in the php-src tree I just pulled 
down.

        git clone git://git.php.net/php-src.git
Trying to build and test stuff.
