Hello Again;

I am still having many trouble upon running logrotate (latest version -
2.9.2), I am running from Linux. MySql is 4.1.19.

Here is how I run logrotate, and what my problems are:

Via cron, I do:

45 23 * * *     /html/phpsyslogng/scripts/logrotate.php 2>&1

So, you can see that I am running this at 2345 (11:45PM).

My config.php has this setting for logrotate:

define('LOGROTATERETENTION', 2);

Upon logging in to my machine the next morning, I get:

Query failed: Can't find file: 'all_logs.MRG' (errno: 2)

>From the GUI, to fix this, I must *manually* edit my all_logs.MRG file, and
remove from there the one table that no longer exist. Then, upon trying to
login again, all works just great!

By the way, I am left with three days worth of logs afterwards, but my
LOGROTATERETENTION has a setting of 2.

1. Should I be running logrotate after midnight?

2. Why am I retaining 3 days work of logs, when I've setup 2 within the
config above?

3. Why does my all_logs.MRG file contain more tables than what exist?

Please, please help!

Thank you all,

Vadim
