Hello,
I'm running Ubuntu 6.06 dapper (server install.) I'm successfully
installed apahe2, mysql, php4, php4-gd, php4-mysql. When I connect to
the initial install page I am told that GD and MySQL support are
unavailable. While I haven't tested gd, MySQL is definitely available
and phpmyadmin works fine, so I proceed to the next page, accept the GPL
and proceed to step 1.
On this page I change all the passwords, click drop existing tables and
click next. On the next page, I get a blank screen. I can output some
generic error messages up until line around 60, but after that any "echo
'line 66';" type error checking will not display. I went ahead and
modified /etc/php4/apache2/php.ini to enable all logging, debugging,
etc. and restarted apache. Still install2.php will not complete and no
unusual errors are logged or outputted to the screen.
My next try will probably to modify the config.php.dist and see what I
can get working, but any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Also, if modifying the config by hand works, what script would I run to
install CEMDB and Sample Data?
thanks,
mark
