I have two RFCs that I'd like to propose. They are attached if anyone wants to review them here.
Hi, We do appreciate you putting forward suggestions. Those RFCs seem very brief, even for draft ideas. You should probably bring the ideas up on the PHP 'internals' mail list - and be prepared to robustly defend your position. After getting a feeling for how the ideas would be received, then you can go ahead with formal RFCs. There is no PHP 6, so think very, very carefully before submitting this particular idea. I'd recommend you review previous discussions, and also look at the code base to see what changes are feasible before bringing up the idea. When you do submit the idea, don't reference PHP 6. Instead, state what changes from PHP 5 you want to see. To get wiki access, see https://wiki.php.net/rfc/howto Note we put in a new RFC template in the last few days. It is designed to help RFC authors think about the whole impact of a proposed feature. You can see the template at https://wiki.php.net/rfc/template. Note the section about patches. It is useful to state who would be doing any coding, so the project feasibility and effort required can be evaluated. If you aren't going to do the coding, your RFC is unlikely to succeed.
