Here's an article I wrote with some thoughts about the docs page template

Some of your ideas become irrelevant with some changes I was hoping to get
pushed last weekend but didn't quite get around to it (I'm most a weekend
warrior). However, some of them I'll look into implementing:

   - Changing the method description to better match other sections:

   - Hanging navigation indicator:

Some things that are already done for the next iteration (
http://leviathon.homenet.org - up most of the time) and match up with your
suggestions are:

   - Moving version information back over to the left
   - Logo anchored in top left.
   - Moving search to the right side.

The line length used to be shorter and it got a lot of complaints. I'll
revisit the issue at some point to see if I can manage something better.
