This commit is useless; the whole mega dropdown is dying once responsive is
merged back into master. Sherif was going to try to tackle that particular
feat, but it seems he hasn't have the time, nor have I.  This is another
symptom of the branches growing too far apart. I won't have time until this
weekend at the earliest; can someone else look into merging responsive back
into master?
