but I would like to request that right.

I have made a small contribution to PHP SPL (the add() method for
SplDoublyLinkedList in the 5.5.0 release)... I'm not sure if that has
karma value.
I'm also lead developer of the PHPExcel library, and a number of other
related PHP library projects on github: https://github.com/PHPOffice
Hopefully this should allow me to be considered.
