We've been focusing on incremental improvements for the last several months and will continue to do so for the next few. Previous Comments: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2013-11-25 18:52:57] mbt at gator dot net Description: ------------ Redesign of website puts a trendy but marginally useful floating navigation banner on all pages. This wastes valuable vertical screen space, especially on recent monitors designed with programmer-unfriendly aspect ratios. It's no loss if this kind of navigation scrolls off the page--especially in a site that caters to a technical audience! If you *really* feel the need to slip this in somehow, please put it into one of the side margins where you already have whitespace. After all, the redesign already gilds the lily by putting an arrow in the lower-right-hand corner to scroll to the top of the page. I do like the fonts, though. Note: I did not post this on the phpdotnet.uservoice.com because it appears to have awfully weak privacy for commenters: while the TOS and the privacy policy indicate there is a way for "Account Holders" to opt out of having details spread around, the casual commenter is not an account holder. The only "protection" available is to use the single-sign-on service of Facebook or Google Plus, and that ultimately is even worse for my privacy than writing my email address in the forums. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- Edit this bug report at https://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=66170&edit=1 -- PHP Webmaster List Mailing List (http://www.php.net/) To unsubscribe, visit: http://www.php.net/unsub.php
