Hello guys,
after little refresh on doc.php.net I would like to improve some things
on news.php.net. Here is list of my current ideas. Any thoughts are
appreciated.
1) Separate inactive lists: we currently have some lists marked as
inactive (they doesn't have RDF/RSS links), but it's still quite messy.
I'd like to display active lists first and then inactive under them.
However, it would require to store data about inactive and active lists
in config (i.e. array) because some lists marked as active are actually
not used for a long time. On the other hand, I don't think that's
signifficant disadvantage as changes on news server are very rare as far
as I can see.
2) Is it safe to place .htaccess in the repository or will it overwrite
something on the server?
3) Is lines counter in group view really useful or can it be deleted?
4) Does it make sense to use our shared template on news.php.net or it
won't be useful in that case? Of course some changes would have to be
done but maybe it's overcomplicating whole thing?
5) Any other ideas?
