Fix it Sherif. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2013-11-07 20:10:26] google...@php.net The auto-complete search feature requires using the jquery-ui, which for whatever reason was removed from the beta site. Given that we can't load jquery-ui, we can't effectively implement the auto-complete functionality. Personally, I would love to see it back and the reasons for it no longer being available are rather unjustified, in my opinion. It's a trivial fix. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2013-11-07 19:47:57] rlund at lunds dot us Description: ------------ Hi. When the new website first went into testing, it briefly used to have an instant search feature where you could enter your search phrase and would immediately get a dropdown list through ajax with results for your search, allowing you to click the command you were looking for right away. Now I don't see this feature anymore at all. I am still on the beta site although I have switched back and forth in the past (maybe there's a cookie preventing me from accessing this?). I don't know if this search feature was only a test that was abandoned later and never made it back in, but I thought it was really useful and would love to see it back. I'm running Windows 7 Pro 64bit and am having the same issue in Chrome version 30.0.1599.101 m (my default browser for php.net), Firefox version 25, and IE version 10.0.9200.16721. Firefox and Chrome have AdBlock installed. However, in Chrome, AdBlock is disabled for php.net, and I also tried disabling the extension completely. Furthermore, IE has no add-on installed beyond what came pre-installed. I hope this information helps, and I'll gladly help out in tracking this down if I can. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- Edit this bug report at https://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=66051&edit=1 -- PHP Webmaster List Mailing List (http://www.php.net/) To unsubscribe, visit: http://www.php.net/unsub.php
