ID: 14816 Updated by: [email protected] Reported by: jimw at apache dot org Summary: providing a password for every bug report shouldn't be necessary -Status: Open +Status: Wont fix Type: Feature/Change Request Package: Website problem Operating System: * PHP Version: * Block user comment: N Private report: N New Comment: Sorry, but we currently do not plan adding account for bug reporters. It would require too much work: dealing with spam requests, more data to protect, introducing new user level next to developers etc... It might change in the future, but I doubt that it will happen soon. Previous Comments: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2002-01-02 20:41:13] jimw at apache dot org there should be some notion of accounts that is a seamless part of the bug-reporting process, with the password being tied to the account instead of the bug. what do with the existing passwords is something to ponder. it's worth checking to see if different by the same people mostly have the same password, which could make just creating accounts using that password a reasonable solution. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- Edit this bug report at https://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=14816&edit=1 -- PHP Webmaster List Mailing List (http://www.php.net/) To unsubscribe, visit: http://www.php.net/unsub.php
