Sorry, but we currently do not plan adding account for bug reporters. It would 
require too much work: dealing with spam requests, more data to protect, 
introducing new user level next to developers etc... It might change in the 
future, but I doubt that it will happen soon.

there should be some notion of accounts that is a seamless part of the 
bug-reporting process, with the password being tied to the account instead of 
the bug.

what do with the existing passwords is something to ponder. it's worth checking 
to see if different by the same people mostly have the same password, which 
could make just creating accounts using that password a reasonable solution.
