Now all we can wait until Y! reindexes the site and hope the patch fixed it :) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2009-06-10 12:59:56] jody at univ dot haifa dot ac dot il Description: ------------ [I originally sent this message to '[email protected]' and received a reply from Hannes Magnusson, requesting that I submit it as a bug report here.] [This item bears a resemblance to bug report #20966 from 2005, but is not identical, and I think the problem bears investigation.] I'd like to bring to your attention a problem I've encountered frequently when searching the online documentation at php.net. After typing in my search string, I find that that results include multiple redundant items, the only difference between them being that they originate in versions of the documentation for different languages. E.g., php.net/manual/en/function.pg-result-status.php, php.net/manual/hk/function.pg-result-status.php, php.net/manual/hu/function.pg-result-status.php, php.net/manual/tw/function.pg-result-status.php, etc. This results in a needless expansion of the search results, and hinders the process of scanning the list for relevant items. Is there any way of limiting a search to the documentation in a particular language? That would greatly improve the accuracy and usefulness of the search utility. Thank you very much for your attention to this matter.
