I invite you to add a bug / change request to the bug tracker (you know
where that is) and/or a Pull Request to the PECL website Git repo, if
you're feeling proactive. If you haven't done so already, of course. :)

I don't have a list of who has access to the mailing list software on
php.net so can't help there, sorry. That said, removing a message from our
system wouldn't remove it from the hundreds(?) of inboxes, and third-party
mailing list archives, that have already received it.
