[PHP-WEBMASTER] PDO not connecting

To this may concern
Issues::
When I use MySQLi syntax in my PHP page to connect to the database it works
but when I use PDO it gives me Access denied for root using no password
 even after I have enable PDO in PHP. Ini file
Am using PHP version 7.0.4  please help me
