Most mirrors already support SQLite, I think it was changed some years
ago to be a requirement for the manual search. You can see this on the
mirror admin system on master.

Nice! I wasn’t aware of that.

The other discussion is the replacement of the mirror system with one of the more modern distributed systems of page caching and distribution?
