Hello

I am using
- Apache 2.0.44
- PHP 4.3.4
- Windows XP Home

I have written a script that executes a time consuming (...) query agains
the TXT DP API (www.c-worker.ch).
This API provides functionality to use text files "as" tables from a
database. The script uses as well patTemplate 2.4.

The system runs fine for "small" querries up to 44 min., but after around 1
hour: Apache is restarted (see snipset form the error file below):
[Tue Jun 01 09:04:00 2004] [notice] Parent: child process exited with status
1 -- Restarting.

[Tue Jun 01 09:04:02 2004] [notice] Parent: Created child process 3412

[Tue Jun 01 09:04:09 2004] [notice] Child 3412: Child process is running

After that the MS Internent Explorer displays a error passage, that the
server could be found!

The log file contains a lot of "PHP Notices" for patTemplate.

I have a similar behavoir with the Sun Application Server 7 and the above
combination.

Does anyone has an ideas what is wrong?

Thanks in advance

Steffen

You know what, your right. I should have caught that, and my friend should
have caught that cause he programs PHP for a living. Shows how much he
wanted to help.

THanks a lot.

Hi,

I'm using pre-compiled Xitami v2.5c1 and PHP v4.3.6 on WinXP.
Xitzmi is working with non-php pages and correctly filters a .php
extionsion and starts php.exe.

When fetching a file with a php script, e.g.

----
<html><body>
<?php
phpinfo();
?>
</body></html>
----

php.exe correctly starts, but is stuck somewhere with no output to the
browser.

Terminating the php.exe process through taskmanager, the output is sent
to the browser. Sometimes, but not always, it is necessary to terminate
the php.exe process more than once before the full page is shown and
all connections to the server are released.

Executing the command 'php -i' at a command prompt does return a html
text.

Does anyone have an idea why php.exe is not terminating correctly?

regards
Claus
