Hi,
Does anyone uses PHP to access an Ingres Database ?
I created php_ingres.dll from ingres_ii module but when I enable it and run
php.exe it crashes and give an error about a trashed file (symbol.tbl)
I tried to use Ingres ODBC from Computer Associates but it crashes too. I
just have sucess when using ODBC Driver from Openlinksw.com but have to pay
for it and I hope that I find a free ODBC driver that works with Ingres and
PHP.
I work with Windows XP, Ingres 2.6 and PHP-4.3.7.
Heeeeeeelp me please.
Thanks once more,
Mauro

Hey Mikey!
I hope you have luck completing that Oracle project. Maybe your clients
should pick something more concise, more stable, smaller an not bloated, and
definitely faster, like MySQL.
Cheers.

You should be using php-cgi.exe. You could also follow the directions on
how to run it as an ISAPI module.
The same thing happens on my computer running Windows XP and trying to
use php.exe. I'm not even sure this is an error though. The
documentation hasn't really been updated for PHP5 as far as I know. The
same problem existed for me in all the release candidates and betas. I
didn't know they allowed you to put the php.ini file in the PHP folder
now instead of windows. That's very nice to know. It's about time.
I just found this out recently... in addition to being able to have
php.ini in several different places, you can also set an environment
variable (PHPRC) to tell php where to find php.ini. Thanks for that tip
Walter!

Thanks for that ... using ISAPI instead of CGI worked first time. However
(there is always a however, aint there?), PHP executes the pages OK, but at
the bottom of each page, I receive this message:
"PHP has encountered an Access Violation at 010173CD"
Anyone else? Permissions, perhaps?

I have put libmysql.dll in windows\system32 and in c:\php\ext and it still
gives me the same message. Please point me to the right direction or tell me
where to download from a good "libmysql.dll" file.

Guys,
I have installed the new PHP5.0 binary release on XP Professional with IIS 5
(running the php5isapi.dll module). All appears fine except for an error
message [PHP has encountered an Access Violation at 013E73CD] appearing at
the bottom of each page. Can anyone help resolve this, or is it a build
problem?

Some further information, I was using the loopback IP 127.0.0.1 and getting
the access violation. if I use localhost, this does not happen.
