I have.
No major implications. As long as PHP is correctly configured, along with MySQL and other, everything should be fine.

Personaly I see this as a back step to go from Apache to IIS! If you don't
have a solid reason then I would discourage it. Should be a simple task too
my mind.

All the best.

It would be nice if you could post an answer of how you did it. Will make

WALK THROUGH

1) Install IIS via the Control Panel -> Add Windows Components

2) Download PHP Installer from www.php.net <http://www.php.net/>

3) Backup existing php.ini file

4) Run PHP Installer

5) Open Internet Services Manager via the Control Panel under Administrative
Tools

6) Right click on the server name, and select Properties

7) Set your home directory (root directory)

8) Configure your php.ini file to suit your requirements

9) Restart IIS

If you require extensions, download the PHP zip file and copy the ext directory
to the PHP directory created by the installer.

IMPACT ON CODE WHEN CONVERTING FROM APACHE TO IIS

Certain elements of the global array $_SERVER do not exist when using IIS.

Those that I have found so far:

1) $_SERVER['PHP_AUTH_USER']

2) $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT']

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Dale

According to O'Reilly Dynamic HTML - The Definitive Reference,
document.navigate is IE specific from IE3 upwards.

Try using document.location.href

Good Day to Everyone,

I need to interact with a Web Service that activates a gift card for my
company and I will be using the SOAP extension built into PHP 5.1.2 and
running on Windows Server 2003 and IIS6.

I have read the manual along with numerous online tutorials but still
have trouble understanding the process to get this going.

I have a WSDL file provided by the company that handles our gift card
requests.

Sample starting point:

$client = new SoapClient("path/to/file.wsdl");

However, I am not able to connect - I receive the following error:

SoapFault exception: [WSDL] SOAP-ERROR: Parsing WSDL: Couldn't load
from 'http://.../b2b.wsdl' (note: actual path removed)

Anyone with a suggestion as a starting point to diagnose this issue? I
can open the WSDL file in a web browser but can't seem to initiate a
connection. I have extension=php_soap.dll set in the php.ini and IIS6
has been restarted.

I apologize for the vague nature of my request - but not sure of the
exact question to ask quite yet.

Thank you.

Ken Vandegrift
