Hi there list people.
I need help and lots of it. I have been using Apache and php on Nt for a year now and
recently have written some code using the mail function. Problem is it does not work.
Well the mail function does not work. My mail postoffice is Post.Office from
Software.Com and it works fine. But for some reason even the test code I have copied
from various sites does not work. I checked teh ini fail and I am pretty sure that it
is set up correctly but then what do I know? Anybody out there have any ideas??
Please!!!!!!

Hi All,
I tried using FLOCK command but it doesn't work in my environment... Windows
98, Apache Server 1.3 and PHP 4.0.4pl.... I tested in a Unix machine
running PHP 3.0.xx and it works fine... Any ideas?
Thanks!
Hello all,
I had this up and runing before, but...
I just finished a fresh format and install of Win98 on the server.
Installed Apache 1.3.17, and then PHP 4.0.4pl1
Whenever I try to star apache, however, it won't start, tells me that the
php4apache.dll (or whatever the name is, its close, i'm not on that machine
right now - other room) can't be started, because not all the files needed
are present or whatevr. I think you know the message I mean.
What gets me though is that I have verified THREE times that the dll is in
the right spot. So the only thing I can think of is some sort of system
dependancy that isn't installed (remember this is a fresh win98 install). I
used windows update and updated just about everythihng..DCOM98, SP1, IE 5.5
SP1, all Critical Updates, but still no go.
Anyone seen this before? Any clues before I go crazy?

Check if there are any php.ini left from previous installation
Check and recheck the content of php.ini and httpd.conf
Cold reboot
These usually fix the problem...

Just to add to the discussion (and apologies if I've missed the point). I
use Phorum on a number of NT4 boxes, and have no problems at all with the
redirection stuff (this has been true from beta versions of php4 up to the
current release). Does this perhaps point to a misconfiguration of some
kind?
Cheers
