That book is cool. Actually, that section is under the open publication
license. I originally thought the whole book was due to the OPL being in the
directory above the PDF on the CD and the license being printed at the back
of the book, and emailed Tobias before sending the PDF hither and yon. He
said that only the Extending the API section was under that license.

I'll look at splitting the PDF so that that section can be distributed with
the rest.

While the content is the same, the PDF is all in one document and formatted
for printing. It's much easier to take notes on a printed document.

Which is why I bought it. However, if the only useful part to you is the API
doc and you want it in print, since that section is under the OPL, it can be
given out. Also, since I'll be sitting in a car for several hours tonight as
a passenger and I have a copy of the PDF on the laptop, I may extract that
chapter while watching the flooding ditches as I head north. No real output
of effort and something useful results.

But, yes, if the rest of the book would be useful to you, buy the darn
thing.

sorry, i know it has nothing to do with windows, but i was hopeing

you guys could save me from subscribein to yet another mailing list.

I set up phpMyAdmin 2.1.0 on a brand new Redhat 7.0

with apache 1.13 with php 4.0.4pl1, and mysql 3.23.36 RPM redhat dist.

any1 has any ideas? the mysql server works fine, the php works fine,

it seems to be a apache config. problem, but im not sure...

tnx.

t.

ps. the database DOES exist, and all the codeing which has anything to do
with

it works fine. its just when i submit a query in the <textarea> when the
error shows up

www.f2s.com, I use it, sometimes little slow, but gives PHP extensions,
MySQL account, FTP access, SMTP server and a little more services. Totally
free.

Bye,

Alessio.

Ming works beautifully except for text. These guys put it in a precompiled
binary: http://www.php4win.de/

You're probably thinking of libswf or one of the other modules.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Mike

ming is working under win32 for quite a while, please don't substitute ming
with libswf.

Hi all,
I made a simple code but I think that there is a better way to do same thing.

I have list with couple hundreds "entries" and I want to have it 50 per page.
I did it this way and it works.

$result = mysql_query("SELECT id FROM source ORDER BY id ASC", $db);
while($myrow = mysql_fetch_array($result))
{
 $IDArray[] = $myrow[id];
}
$NoOfEntries =  count($IDArray);         //   Number of entries
$NoOfPages = $NoOfEntries / 50;        //    Number of pages with 50 entries per page

//        E.g.  3.854 pages means 4 pages. The way I'm doing is check is $NoOfPages >
integer($NoOfPages)

$NoOfPagesInt = $NoOfPages;
settype($NoOfPagesInt, "integer");
if($NoOfPages > $NoOfPagesInt):
 $NoOfPages++;
endif;

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Afan

Hi
Im looking for an equivalent in PHP3 for $PATH_INFO avaible in PHP4?
$DOCUMENT_ROOT exists on the server but not $PATH_INFO :(
Is there a way to script and get all server variable like ASP does:
For Each item In Request.ServerVariable
        Response.Write "ServerVar( " & item & " ) = " & Request.ServerVariable( item )
& "<br>"
Next
I think if this scipt exists, its usefull.
Olivier.

Hello Olivier,

Try phpinfo() or print_r($HTTP_SERVER_VARS).
