Hi!
I want to know if there is a way to include(require) a file using a path
relative to web server root.
I'm aware of the fact that you can specify include path, but I believe that
this is not the best solution, since applications written that way aren't
easily portable.
What I'm looking for is something similar to what "/" does in HTML paths and
SSI include directives.
Thanks,
Mitja Pagon

You've answered your own question. If document-root is set to
/usr/web/htdocs then require("/somefile") will expect to find "somefile" in
document-root.

Yes, forking processes that uses to much resources might be a problem with
php. I suggest you use the kill() command to get rid of unwanted processes,
maybe with option ALL if thing goes out of control.

Yeah, we are all to well familiar whit the rebooting thing, but one have to
live with it. M$ has come to stay.

Use to be that way when you develop software, just make sure you have a good
debugger.

Why not supply use with some code snippet, and we might be able to track

Aha, so you turned to light weight processes. Yes, indeed that a good
choice, especially when the server is heavy loaded - which seams to be your
case.

In Swedish we use to say "För Fet För ett Fuck" ("To fat to get screwed"),
but since you lost your weight: fuck you, your life and your bloody god,
bitch-spammer.
