One possible way to do this is, when submitting a form, set a hidden
variable to the value using javascript. Example:
<script>
function setVars( theForm )
{
theForm.jsvar.value = 'somevalue';
theForm.submit();
}
</script>
...
<form>
<input type="hidden" name="jsvar">
<input type="button" name="btnSubmit" value="Submit" onClick="javascript:
setVars(this.form);">
</form>
This is just a suggestion.
