Hi !!!
The PHP:MySQL Table Manager has been designed to simplify the
management of multiple mysql tables on a web site.
It was not designed for complex table structures.
It is assumed that the correct database privileges are in
place before use.

I would think the only way you could connect to an Access Database
without a DSN set would be through the use of COM, maybe?
We did a little bit of ASP in TAFE last term and we connected to an Access
DB without setting
a DSN .. so maybe it could follow a bit of the same path.

i think u need to do this:
a) convert the mysql result to an array using some iteration function like
array_walk().
b) if u r using sessions, save the array as a session variable for
subsequent usage.
OR
if u need to pass it as hidden field, then u should use the serialize()
function to pass the value to the form and later use the unserialize()
function to get back the original array.
//sample
$result = mysql_query($qu2);
$num = mysql_num_rows($result);
//suppose u convert the $result to array $rows then
<INPUT TYPE='hidden' VALUE=serialize($rows) NAME='result'>
//and after posting the form use
$rows = unserialize($_POST['result'])
cheers!

your error is not with PHP_SELF, it's in your mysql query.. you don't
put a
semicolon at the end of your statement..
$qu2 ="SELECT * FROM test_tabel ;"; should be
$qu2 = "select * from test_table";
anytime you receive the error you got, it's most likely due to a problem
with your Query.

You just need to set the Content-type message header to text/html.
If you would like a simpler way that also allows you to embed image
files, attachments and alternative text and html versions of your
message, you may want to try this class:
http://www.phpclasses.org/mimemessage
--
Regards,
Manuel Lemos
--- End Message ---
--- Begin Message ---
just add headers to your mail.
Like this:
<?php
$headers = "MIME-Version: 1.0\r\n";
$headers .= "Content-type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1\r\n";
$headers .= "FROM: what ever \r\n"; // optional
$Subject = "Subject of the mail";
$msg = "Text of the mail <B>including html tags</B>";
$to = "[EMAIL PROTECTED]
mail($to, $Subject, $msg, $headers);
?>

You would have a look at http://www.webguys.com/pdavis/programs/html_graphs/
It is a class to create html based charts.
You can also try http://www.aditus.nu/jpgraph/ very powerful.
good luck !

JeeeeezzZZZZ toby!! you don`t give us much warning! 2 hours? I think by
the time I saw your email you had already been shafted - if not, do a quick
and dirty one by echoing some image tags - use some little coloured gifs or
jpegs and stretch them to the right length according to the values in the
database. you will get a reasonable bar graph that way if the values aren`t
too large in range - your only other hope is to install the GD graphics
library, read the manual at at least 600 words per minute until you know
everything about manipulating graphics and text and curves etc etc with the
GD routines then code it all up in about the last ten minutes. Maybe you
should stick with the stretched jpegs for now.
echo "<img src=\"yellow.jpg\" height=\"10\"
idth=\"".$myrow["somefieldname"]."\"><br>\n";
echo "<img src=\"red.jpg\" height=\"10\"
width=\"".$myrow["somefieldname"]."\"><br>\n";
echo "<img src=\"blue.jpg\" height=\"10\"
width=\"".$myrow["somefieldname"]."\"><br>\n";
Good luck! - get moving!

It requires Windows scripting host installed and enabled on the server
and will ONLY read the registry on the server (a lot of people want to
use this to read the client), but it does work. Here's a sample. It
happens to pull in the IE proxy server settings.
$shell = new COM("WScript.Shell") or die("This thing requires Windows
Scripting Host");
$registry_proxystring =
$shell->RegRead("HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Internet
Settings\\ProxyServer");
There is RegWrite method that can be used just like the RegRead method
to write keys to the registry as well.

Art,
You can set this in php.ini (timeout=..) by default 30sec, but in this case
you only need it one time.
In that case you can put the time-out in the begin of a script that you want
to give a longer time to excecute with set_time_limit(180). 180 is the
seconds you allow this script to run.
Good luck,
Rémy

I just recently did an upgrade from php 4.0.6 to 4.2.3 and several system
calls that I used in my software no longer work. Both system and exec
return no output from the command but if I add a '> error.log' redirect the
error.log is created as an empty file. I have apache running as an acutal
user login, it has permission to execute the file and safe mode is turned
off. If I copy the command to run to a .bat file and execute that .bat file
the command runs fine and returns the output as normal.
If anyone has any knowledge why this happens i would greatly appreciate it.
I have tried doing several simple examples like
<?
system('echo Does this work', $output);
print_r($output);
?>
this just echos nothing.
putting the cmd into a .bat file though will echo "Does this work";

Hey PHPer's-
I've got a bit of code that just detects the browser version and attaches the
appropriate style sheet.
<html><head>
<?php
$ua = get_browser ();
if ( ( $ua->browser == "Netscape" ) && ( $ua->version < 5 ) ) {
stylesheet1
} else {
stylesheet2
}
<body>....
It worked fine for a while, but recently started getting a fatal error on the line
with: $ua = get_browser ();
"Fatal error: Nesting level too deep - recursive dependency? in
D:\www\includes\header_test.php on line 10"
I'm running PHP Version 4.2.1 on an IIS, Windows NT 5.0 build 2195.
Anyone out there have any suggestions?
Thanks,
Travis

The problem is my sessions don't work properly... the ID is stored and saved
in the cookie fine, and the PHP script can even acces the Session ID value
in the cookie. However, when you call session_start(); it mearly creates a
new session/session ID instead of resuming.
I can pass on the session id using
$target = "http://url.com?".CID;
header( "Location: $target" );
but obviously doing that is not what I want to do for every page/link. I
wrote a script to test the session function. The sessions are set in a
script using session_register() and the variables are stored perfectly fine
in the session folder, even the session ID's match with the output of CID.
The Code:
print "Session ID = ".session_id()."<br>";
print "Searching for cookie ID ( $_ENV[COOKIE] ) <br>";
Firstly, I called the code before session_start(); just to see what happens.
It returns:
Session ID =
Searching for cookie ID ( PHPSESSID=7c7b9b50c724fc18c59c436d78b4992d )
Remember, thats before I call session_start();
However, Exactly the same code used after session_start(); returns something
different...
Session ID = e6c9f37a45808b552b8f04ee06968d42
Searching for cookie ID ( PHPSESSID=7c7b9b50c724fc18c59c436d78b4992d )
So, as you can see, Session_Start(); has actually started a NEW session
rather than the old session refered to in the session cookie. This is most
annoying... and I have no idea what could be causing it.
Thank you for your time. I hope I have explained it fairly well...
