Franco Yes it is entirely possible to get PHP to work in CGI mode with NOTHING in your windows or system directory. I often set up win machines with everything under the C:\PHP directory including the php.ini file and all DLLs, sessiondata and uploadtemp dirs and it works a treat and is a cleaner install.
