I tried that, and it did not create d:\blah.txt.

Alternatively, I also tried

"d:\\" . $_FILES['userfile']['name']

With no luck either.

--> UPDATE:
-->
--> Ok, I got the page to stop giving me errors by supplying
--> the source file path like this:
-->
--> move_uploaded_file("d:\\temp\\" .
--> $_FILES['userfile']['tmp_name'], "d:\\");
-->
--> But that still doesn't move the uploaded file to the d:\ either.
-->
--> Any ideas?
